How To Make The Best Bloody Mary

This tomato based cocktail has had countless iterations over the years, with garnishes ranging from the classic celery stalk to prawns, ribs and even whole roasted habernero chilli peppers. What makes an excellent Bloody Mary isn't so much what's on top but the use of high quality ingredients inside. Whether you like your Bloody Mary's super spicy or more briney, we've created the only Bloody Mary recipe you'll need.

Don't be afraid to get creative - try swapping the pepper sauce for wasabi or the Worcestershire sauce for sherry vinegar but always use high quality tomato juice and vodka. You cannot go wrong with tomato juice from The Pickle House paired with the smooth richness of locally distilled Our/London Vodka.


Serves 1:

  • 50ml Vodka (Our/London Vodka)
  • 100ml Tomato Juice (The Pickle House)
  • 2 Dashes of Pepper sauce (Tabasco works best)
  • 20ml Lemon Juice
  • 3 Dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Pinch of Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1 Pinch of Sea Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon of fresh horseradish
  • Sprig of Mint
  • Celery Stalk
  • Lemon wedge 

In a highball glass add the vodka followed by ice cubes. Then add the tomato juice, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and fresh horseradish and stir for 20 - 30 seconds. Then add the lemon juice, salt and cracked black pepper and mix again. Garnish with a celery stalk, grilled lemon wedge and sprig of mint.
